Call and Ask Obama to show his Leadership on FISA

so I saw a very encouraging diary on daily kos about a poster who called the campaign concerning the FISA issue.

the response

"We hear you loud and clear.  The staff are literally reviewing the FISA issue as we speak.  You'll be hearing from us soon."

this is great news and more people to join in and call the office Obama really needs to use his new found powers as the Democratic nominee on this issue, if he came out against it that would be pretty powerful

he can contact his office here (202) 224-2854.

call and ask Obama to lead on this issue! and then

Re: (2.00 / 1)

I was ready to think that Obama would avoid the issue fearing that the democratic party wasn't united enough for him to start making waves

but maybe I was wrong! call and then Donate, we have to show the campaign and the rest of the world that YES, we will support this campaign.

Donate what you can!

This could be good (2.00 / 1)

I said earlier in the week that I was expecting some impressive moves from Obama this week. This isn't quite what I was hoping for, but between announcing that he isn't taking public financing and Michelle kicking butt Wednesday, if he capped it off by showing some of the serious insight on constitutional law that he is reputed to have, it would really be remarkable.

I wrote my Senator (2.00 / 1)

Best targets are relatively new Senators like Klobuchar who aren't down with the reprehensible Washington politics game yet.

If Obama comes out against it, we have some hope.

Obama has never led on ANYTHING (none / 0)

what makes you think he would or could now, especially after his embarrassing break in on of his MAIN CAMPAIGN THEMES, that actually had won over the fiscally responsible inde's and dem's that used to back McCain with campaign finance.

...that sound you hear, besides that laughter of the ones who kept trying to figure out what Obama's followers were making up to support him, is the sound of flushing, as Obama's support and money from the small donors say Bye Bye.

Of course, he won't care about those small donors.  They never gave enough money to do anything, it was just body count to off throw the Big Corporate Special Interest dollars and now that he doesn't have to compete, you'll see his more Corporate/Conservative ways again as before he had to swing left to compete with HIllary and Edwards.

Er... do be quiet (2.00 / 1)

You're taking up valuable space that could be used for nothing at all.  Which would be better than your post.
