* In 1994, the economy had the lowest combination of unemployment and inflation in 25 years.
* As part of the 1993 Economic Plan, President Clinton cut taxes on 15 million low-income families and made tax cuts available to 90 percent of small businesses, while raising taxes on just 1.2 percent of the wealthiest taxpayers.

"Hillary that Bitch is irrelevant." That's the new song dedicated to Obama along with a call to all black people to paint the white house black blah blah. Would not mean much by itself- But Barack called this man a big talent couple of years ago, when ludicrous was singing lyrics with N ( word), calling women bitches and hoes. But wait in 2007 ludicrous held a fund raiser for Obama.
Now his communication guy came out strong against ludicrous and threw him under the bus for political expediency. But where was that outrage when he wanted his money and his election run was not on the line (the previous years)- while he praised him?
This is not the ONE we are all waiting for? or is it. I'm baffled at the associations in his life. Is there no keeping with class in whom we mingle with anymore?
So I walked into my bank today and was introduced to a new young investment analyst/ banker. For a couple of years my bank has been trying to get me to invest more dollars w/ them after being told that I have a few 100's thousand sitting in various other financial institutions.
I have had relationships going back years with old well experienced bankers in those other institutions--- who have handled my life's earnings ( many hits and some misses) and I thought why is it I hesitate to go with a young, well spoken but yet unproven analyst? Well the video summarizes my feelings. When my future is on the line - my retirement is on the line, my kids future is on the line, my kitchen table needs are on the line. I digress to not CHANGE for the sake of CHANGE.
Would you do any different when it actually dips into your family's future?
Barack has disappointed me on FISA
Barack has disappointed me on Public Finance
Barack has disappointed me on Gun Ban
Barack has disappointed me on Pro choice
Barack has disappointed me on Capital gains increase to a whopping 28% !!!
Barack maybe will disappoint me on Anti choice VP selection
Besides capital gains there is not much that affects my economics but I can only go by what he says and then CHANGES after the primary. I'm looking at his resume, checking for references and when I investigate, it looks padded.
Everytime I think of him- I can't get excited or hopeful. Maybe its just me. Yes! I'm hoplessly yearning for hillary on the ticket to give me some HOPE.
Update [2008-7-30 11:33:58 by chancecoke]: YES CAPITAL GAINS: I did not make the money selling dope or gangbanging. I have saved my money from the age of 16. I paid taxes on it to begin with and I continue to pay taxes on gains (I’m not taking it to my grave) and then when I use the money on consumer goods --the govt piles on again and hits me with more taxes through sales taxes. And now Barack wants to increase that gains tax to 28%. How many times should I pay taxes on my hard earned money? So if sounds republican to some. I never knew being successful was yielded to republicans only. I rather prefer being called one than be called a welfare democrat.Meet John McCain. McCain meet Obama.
Over 5 weeks now and you cannot debate a 70 plus year old man---who keeps asking you to debate him anytime /anyplace?
What gives?
"Just tell me one thing Barack Obama has done that you admire," I asked a prominent Democrat. He paused and then said that he admired Obama's speech to the Democratic convention in 2004. I agreed. It was a hell of a speech, but it was just a speech.
I'm done with speeches. It's time to debate the old man and not run away from a fight. What's your plan?
To have only but 2 debates before D-Day. Continue with the the all hat no cattle stump speeches?
Wow. So we should give Senator McCain like a ton of free press since he can't afford it on his own? The loser always wants more debates...Classic reply. Yeah it's all about school yard winners and losers and not about electing the leader of the free world. It's like george bush all over again in 2000. Great talking points but always shy away from debates.
And what is HOPE? Is it a chic flick anthem that we are falling for?
Do you choose to be a consumer of any product based on which product best gives you HOPE that it will work?
Is it the new version of living on love and fresh air?
What do you hope for that you hope Obama will deliver for you?
Lower gas? - That aint happening
No tax hikes? - That aint happening
More Jobs? That aint happening
Less crime ? That aint happening
End to war in Iraq? Who knows- besides it will simply shift to Afghanistan and you can't cry about that anymore.
So what is it that made you fall for the soppy message of "Got Hope".
Now double the fun for those 'Hopeful' comments to follow below !
Senator Barack Obama announced today that on his recent overseas tour he successfully negotiated a wide-ranging treaty with America's European allies.
According to the Illinois Senator, the treaty ends the use of torture in interrogations, closes the Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo prisons, outlines a plan for negotiations with Iran to end its uranium enrichment program, arranges for the United Nations to intervene to end the genocide in Darfur, increases international commitments to the conflict in Afghanistan, ends global warming, and eliminates the use of performance enhancing drugs in the Tour de France.
Obama said he also came close negotiating a final status accord between Israel and Palestine that also resolved the right of return, but that his trip was not quite long enough to complete that accord. "That's something we'll finish up during our first few months in office," Obama explained.
Obama said he hoped to present the European treaty to the Senate in August, for its ratification "sometime around the end of January," when Obama will be available, as President, to sign any implementing legislation into law.
Reacting to suggestions that his overseas trip was "presumptuous" and that he should have waited until after the election to negotiate wide-ranging treaties with America's European allies, Obama explained that he hadn't intended to enter into any international accords on this trip.
"This was supposed to be a chance for me to listen to learn," said the Illinois Senator. "The problem was, we got into these meetings, and we started discussing the issues, and we just thought, 'Hey, we're here, let's get something done.'"
From NBC's Jim Miklaszewski and Courtney Kube A U.S. military official tells NBC News they were making preparations for Sen. Barack Obama to visit wounded troops at the Landstuhl Medical Center at Ramstein, Germany on Friday, but "for some reason the visit was called off."
One military official who was working on the Obama visit said because political candidates are prohibited from using military installations as campaign backdrops, Obama's representatives were told, "he could only bring two or three of his Senate staff member, no campaign officials or workers." In addition, "Obama could not bring any media. Only military photographers would be permitted to record Obama's visit."
The official said "We didn't know why" the request to visit the wounded troops was withdrawn. "He (Obama) was more than welcome. We were all ready for him."
In terms of lobbyists, few are more connected -- both west of the Mississippi and in the corridors of power in Washington -- than Steve Farber, a Denver lawyer whose political contacts have thrust him into a central fund-raising role for the Democratic National Convention.
Steve Farber, a politically connected Denver lawyer, is the chief fund-raiser for the Democratic National Convention in August.
Mr. Farber's vast contact list could prove crucial in raising the millions of dollars needed by the Denver host committee to showcase Senator Barack Obama and the Democratic Party in August in Denver. But Mr. Farber's activities are a public display of how corporate connections fuel politics -- exactly the type of special influence that Mr. Obama had pledged to expunge from politics when he said he would not accept donations from lobbyists.
